2019 | The Bombay Beach Biennale March 22-24

The Bombay Beach Biennale is a renegade celebration of art, music, and philosophy that takes place each year on the literal edge of western civilization, at the shores of the Salton Sea. The Biennale, founded in 2015, transforms abandoned housing, vacant lots, and decaying shoreline into a unique canvas for creative expression. Artists, philosophers, creators and makers across many mediums donate their time and talents to the volunteer-led happening.

The 2019 event took place on March 22-24 and encompassed over 150 activations in 72 hours, including an academic conference, live music, performances, opera, ballet, film screenings, and multiple museum openings. Many of the art installations will become permanent fixtures within the town, which is being transformed through an ongoing infusion of artwork, creativity, and community engagement.

Stefanie Schneider is delighted to show you work from 17 instant photographers from all over the world, who have produced stunning work- whether it be landscapes, nudes or portraits. From the end of March, The Polaroid Museum will open its doors daily and reveal to you some of the best contemporary instant photography in the world. The local art community is trying very hard to put Bombay Beach back on the map, and we would like to put The Polaroid Museum firmly on your list of must-see galleries in the area.

2018 | Paris, France November 9th - 11th

How can i possibly sum up Paris in words?

an overwhelming number of visitors, workshops by Polaroid masters, book premieres, wonderful weather and so much more.

all wrangled up in the "Paris photo fair" vibe.

This time, I decided to go all PackFilm.

I'll let the photos and video do the talking.

2018 | Arles, France July 16th - 22th

My exhibition in Arles, France (which was, in fact, my first international Polaroid only expo and part of the "voies off" festival) is a collection of personal stories—all taken in and from Israel. These images are my private lieux de memoire: the moment prior to a crucial decision; one’s breakdown; one recomposing oneself after it; children out for an adventure (or running away from home?); a young woman waiting by the side of the road; and more—all scenes (muted scenes, in fact) are located at a threshold while its protagonists face the unknown. For this reason, every such moment was shot only once.”

Arles was more than an exhibition.

it was about the people, the artists and amazing friends i've made from around the world, that share my passion to instant photography.
